Lohasava

Lohasava is an Ayurvedic medicine for Anemia. It is a liquid Ayurvedic medicine. It contains naturally processed Iron. Lohasava contains 4 – 10 % of self-generated alcohol in it. This self-generated alcohol and the water present in the product act as a medium to deliver water and alcohol-soluble active herbal components to the body.

• Haritaki
• Vibhitaki
• Amla
• Yavani
• Vidanga
• Mustaka
• Chitra (Eranda)
• Dhataki
• Honey
• Jaggery
• Water

Dosage For Lohasava

Take 10 to 20 ml with an equal amount of water once or twice after meals.

Precaution For Lohasava

• High doses in adults may result in gastritis and vomiting
• It is safe to use this medicine in lower doses, in children above 5 years of age
• In pregnancy, it is better to have it only under medical supervision. Avoid self-medication during pregnancy
• During the lactation period, it can be taken but under the doctor’s advice, also for a short period of time
• Store in a cool place in a tightly closed amber-coloured bottle, protect from light and moisture
• Lohasava has Iron, and overdose in children below 6 can lead to fatal poisoning symptoms therefore it must be taken under medical supervision and preferably after food
