Mall Sindoor

Mall-Sindur is a mineral formulation of Ayurveda and contains mall. mall is Arsenic Trioxide, As2O3. It is also known by many other names viz. Sankhiya, Gauripashan and Fenashma. Arsenic is a strong poison and in Ayurvedic medicines it is used only after proper detoxification. mall Sindur is referenced from Siddha Bheshj Manimala. It should be given in very low dosage with Sitopaladi churna.

Uses of Mall Sindoor

• Mall Sindoor is useful in Vata and Kapha diseases. It is a useful medicine for treating diseases due to bacteria, virus etc. and given for treating Haija/Cholera, Malaria, Syphilis.
• This medicine is also given for Sujak. mall Sindoor gives good result in treatment of Vata diseases, Pakshaghata (Hemiplegia), Amavat Rheumatism, Gout and Kapha diseases, Pneumonia, Respiratory illness.
• Mall Sindoor is also indicated in Hysteria, Weakness in old age, Chronic Asthma, Indigestion, Weakness of male sex organ, Influenza, Visham jwar, Prameha.

Dosage of Mall Sindoor

Mall Sindoor is a mineral formulation containing purified Arsenic, Parad and gandhaka. It is very strong and hot in potency. This medicine should be taken only under medical supervision. The dosage of this medicine is 1/2 ratti to 1 ratti, two times a day. The exact dosage is dependent on patient’s strength, condition and disease. The medicine should be taken with honey or Sitopaladi Churna (1g) and honey, for kapha roga with ginger juice and honey.
