Samandar shokh, also known as Elephant Creeper is a plant mentioned for the treatment of swelling, rheumatoid arthritis, general debility, leucorrhea, oligospermia, and diabetes. It is a woody climber found in Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, and South India. The creeper has big broad leaves that look like the ears of an elephant. Thus, it is named the elephant creeper. Roots of Elephant Creeper have been extensively used to control inflammations in Ayurveda. Vriddhadaru is considered a rejuvenator.
